EXPERIENCE

MANAGEMENT: President/CEO 1994 to 2005; Director of Operations, 1990 - 1994; Acting Executive Director, 1993; Assistant Executive Director 1981 - 1990, Center for Human Development, Springfield, MA.

* Responsible for leadership of a system of 45 community-based social service programs and an affiliated agency with 1700 staff and annual $55 million dollar budget.
* Developed many new programs including a number of acquisitions and expansion of the agency to another state.
* Negotiated and monitored budgets, grants, and contracts; supervised staff; evaluated program quality; conducted personnel evaluations; implemented agency-wide staff development; developed agency's strategic plans; serve with Board of Directors; chaired interagency provider associations; participated in setting overall agency policy and direction.
Co-director and Coordinator of Training, Center for Organizational and Community Development, University of Massachusetts, Amherst, MA, 1979 - 1981. Consultant and teaching relationship, 1981-94.
* Managed staff at research and training center. Developed and implemented federal grant. Developed organizational structure; hired and supervised staff; constructed budget; designed and implemented research projects.

Designed and delivered trainings on social change theories and implementation through partnerships at the local and regional level.
